I met him and actually talked with him for about 20 minutes. He was getting ready for a performance at my college. I was Pres of Student Union and had to get him pumped up. He loved to set a rapport with his college crowds. So my job was to fill him in with trivia, buzzwords, joke stuff etc. He was freaking marvelous!!
You would have thought that he was a freaking student there. heh.
So many of his songs were just wonderful. What a horrible loss.

saw JD in london, Uk amny years ago. quuie magnificent. So sad..but I beleive that he would not have wanted anyone to be sad. Just to enjoy his music.
